Digital

I have been wasting my spare mind with Joy Division. If none of you know, there is a film about Ian Curtis to be released in October called 'Control'. The director is Anton Corbijn (who is also fan of Joy Division) and the co-producer is Deborah Curtis (Ian's widow). The book I am reading - and mention in the previous post - was written by her and is quite shocking to think that she had the guts to make a movie (and see it on the screen) so many bad things that she lived.... most probably the most important things of her life happened in those 10 years.

It's difficult to understand such a confused personality... that's why I waste so much time: there is no answer. I never thought about Ian Curtis as a myth or martyr and after reading the book to be honest I've got to a conclusion he was more like one of those strange non-sense small town boys. Part of him was going with the flow while the other wanted to be really big! Unfortunately the clash between them came in a form of an illness (epilepsy).

The movie is in black and white and the actors who played the band members perform all songs live. In the soundtrack there is only 1 song from the real Joy Division, all the others were recorded by the actors who named themselves as 'Joy Moviesion'.

I can't wait to watch it! > click here to watch the trailer
